Isaac McKay-Randozzi's Stereo x Quiet Life Release Party in SF
Those that have visited the late, 3131 Clement spot (which housed the Solitary Arts and Equal Dist.) know my love for vinyl records and more specifically, 7" picture sleeves. Isaac McKay-Randozzi would come by to help build boards and rap about the day-to-day events while playing music on both the jukebox and various table-top players that I own. One day, he asked to shoot a good handful of them and Stereo skateboards had the smarts to release Isaac's second round of artist-series decks. This time, 2 decks featuring my table-top portable players and 2 shirts (one with my Prestige II jukebox).
With help from Stereo, the Quiet Life, Lakai, Stance, the Solitary Arts, and DLX San Francisco, Isaac will be having a release party for this collaboration on Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 7-9:30PM.
DLX SF is located at 1831 Market Street in San Francisco.
The Quiet Life will also be releasing 2 shirts in celebration of Isaac's photographic endeavors at his event on Saturday. Congratulations, Isaac and good work with making this all happen!
We'll have exclusively signed decks and shirts on the Equal Dist. site the day after Isaac's event at DLX on Sunday, March 27th.
Tea with Jessie Van Roechoudt
Jessie Van Roechoudt sent a really great gift today in the form of a letter and a collection of fiber prints from a trip through Vietnam from a few years back. She stained the prints in different kinds of herbal tea to tweak the colors as a little experiment. Super rad photos and really great feel to these little prints. Thank you, Jessie and yes, let's get a session going soon!

Mark Penxa Auction For Japan
Mark Penxa is auctioning off his sketchbook on Ebay (direct link) to help raise relief funds in the wake of Japan’s earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown... As people and most importantly, as a community of skateboarders, we should and can do more to help... Thanks to Mark and Don Pendleton for letting us know about this.
The images below are only a small sample of what's filled in Mark's book.

Jason Herring of DualForces/Ordinary Kids
I went to visit my friend Jason Herring recently in San Francisco. Jason's the founder of Ordinary Kids and now one part of DualForces (full site launch soon). He also helped make the Solitary Arts and Equal Dist. sites happen for Geoff and myself.
DualForces is a newly formed creative group with studios in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Drawing from their deep experience in fashion, design and film, their philosophy rests in the concept of accessing information from multiple plateaus of culture.
Constantly exploring, gauging and informing, DualForces is able to tap into it’s influential network for inspiration, knowledge and insights. Their working paradigm focuses on freeing creative power through a deterritorialization of traditional commercial working-models, limitations and structures.
By mixing disciplines and members specifically tailored to each project, their work ranges from story telling to product creation. From digital executions to retail envirionments. From art installations and beyond.

The Dish in San Francisco 03.05.11
We had a great time out at the Dish in Bayshore/Hunter's Point this past weekend for the Park 94124 clean-up of Hilltop Park. Thanks to Bob Lake for the rejuvenation-session in his neighborhood at this classic San Francisco skate spot. Also, thanks to the great folks at Park 94124 for their hospitality and show of pride for their beautiful park.
