Happy Holiday Session

Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in San Francisco with Bob Lake.

Thank you for shredding and Merry Christmas!

Lovers, "Dark Light"

Thanks to Cubby for sending her latest Lovers album, "Dark Light." We've been listening to this daily!

The Lovers U.S. tour just finished last month and she's with our good friend heading down to South America today... Safe travels and aloha!

Juice 2010 Holiday Greeting Card

Our good friends over at Juice Design have been curating an annual deck for each Holiday season with artists such as Evan Hecox, Jose Parla and Geoff McFetridge in the past. With 2010's "greeting card/deck", they had Tiffany Bozic work on this shape below.

Thanks to: Brett Critchlow, Chris Pew, Matt Irving, and Andrew Paynter!

Bwana Spoons and Boris

Bwana Spoons was in town and came to visit the office last Friday. He brought a clear green vinyl figure of his character, Boris as a gift! Really nice... along with new stickers for his shop in Portland, Grass Hut and of course the, "Randall, Bearturds" patches. Mahalo, Bwana!

DLX's 25 Days of Christmas is at Day 13 today and to celebrate, they've given us all a gift of Tommy Guerrero's music.  If you click on the image below and sign-up for DLX news (which is a good thing, regardless), you'll receive a code for a free mp3 download of his track, "1966" from the album, "From the Soil to the Soul", which is being re-released digitally on Tuesday, February, 1, 2011...  The same day of his new full-length release, "Lifeboats and Follies" on Galaxia Records.

Blue Magazine Japan, in Hawaii

I've been getting Blue surfing magazine ever since I met Takashi and Junko a few years ago.  I'm very thankful as each issue is beautifully done and visiting friends love skimming through this Japanese surf magazine when they stop-by the studio.

The latest issue, (No. 26) features our friends in Hawaii.

Bobby Asato runs Bland Brand along with his photography site, My Americana. Bobby, with APB skate shop, created this benefit shirt for Kenny Brimer last year as well as art-directing Kenny's collaboration with Bad Brains and ROIR records. And occasionally, works with me on Tommy Guerrero shirt layouts

Also, this issue features a shop visit with friends Jun Jo of In4mation/Aloha Army/Residence and a visit with Reva at the Tee Tee Bar.

Luckily, the folks at Blue Magazine went to Jef Hartsel's studio (he has since moved to a new studio) and also got a nice full-page skate-shot of his frontside slash!  EZ-Ryder!

Mahalo for rocking the Head Trip shirt, Hartsel!
