The 50 Greatest Skate Logos
Don Pendleton wrote an article today for Complex Magazine and the Solitary Arts moon made his list of the 50 Greatest Skate Logos. I'm thankful that Don has been such a powerful and good force in skateboarding through his own art and graphic designs over the years.
Mahalo Don and thank you for your constant support and stoke.

Bob Lake in Culver City
Bob and Jen Lake just made their MOCA visit (round two) in Los Angeles and are heading up north to Portland. While down in Culver City, they met with friend, Ron Siegel and his kids for an afternoon coping session. Safe travels and aloha guys!
Brandon Jacobson Photography
Brandon Jacobson is the in-house sales guru for Girl Skateboards and he's been steadily shooting photos in his spare-time. He sent a few my way recently and with today's front-page Crailtap photo of Jordan DeOliveira, I thought it was fitting to share those additional photos into one post.
Below, Jordan's flying dreads followed by Brandon's setup with some Solitary Arts stickers in support, closing with polaroids he shot while in Paris a few months back. Mahalo Brandon! - Yong-Ki

Color Collector's Issue 2011 Featuring Allister Lee
The new Color Magazine, Collector's issue (4 standard issues and 2 special editions a year) is in and amongst its many great photos and articles related to, "Collecting", Allister Lee tops it for me personally with his successful 500 Black Marker Poster. I had the honor of releasing his poster this past Spring with great results and tons of appreciative fans worldwide. Color delves a bit deeper into Allister's workspace in Toronto and his affection for black markers. The next 5 orders will receive a copy of this Color Magazine ($7.99 newsstand price), compliments of the Solitary Arts.
You can still get Allister's 500 marker poster at Equal Dist., while supplies last.

LAUNCH: Community Through Skateboarding
Bob Lake's friend, Andy Weiss in Ft. Collins, Colorado just started LAUNCH, and we can't be more thankful for such a positive force in skateboarding.
LAUNCH: Community Through Skateboarding, is a Colorado-based organization devoted to empowering individuals to better themselves and their community through skateboarding. They strive to provide an environment that fosters a culture of creativity and self-expression for skateboarders of all ages.
The Solitary Arts donated a complete Big Red to help raise funds for the upcoming ALL HANDS ON DECK event on August 5, 2011 from 6-11PM. Check-out the list of other artists who have donated for this cause, HERE.

Tommy Guerrero In Stuttgart, Germany July 26, 2011
Tommy Guerrero will be playing at the Skateboard Museum in Stuttgart, Germany on July 26, 2011.
Our friends at Arrow + Beast in Stuttgart are the only ones that have Tommy's, "Hecho En SF" t-shirts in celebration, thanks to brother Gene Dadoy.
Since Gene, who lives in Stuttgart via Hawaii, will be missing Tommy's performance (he'll be in Hawaii on that day), we wanted to spread the aloha spirit for him, as he would if he was there, by sending the next 8 folks that purchase Tommy's, "From The Soil To The Soul" re-issue on CD, a deadstock sticker-pack with 2003's, "Soul Food Taqueria" and the classic, "Hecho En SF" sticker.
Visit our SHOP to purchase, "From The Soil To The Soul" for $14. Shipping included in the US.
Cover artwork by Barry McGee
2003 Soul Food Taqueria double-postcard sticker, artwork by ESPO and the classic Hecho En SF, designed by Tommy.
