Juice For Geoff McFetridge

The crew over at Juice was kind to give me their annual holiday deck. Last years guest artist was Evan Hecox and I must confess, the shape looked too fun not to setup and ride (thanks for that deck as well). So this years holiday deck was ripped open immediately since the shape looked awesome once again and featured Geoff McFetridge’s artwork. A solid combination in my book and with Juice being the coordinator’s of these annual gift decks, a perfect all-around present. Mahalo guys!

200 of these decks were made and sent out… If you’ve received one, you’re stoked.

Thank you: Matt, Brett, Andrew, & Chris.

San Nin Fai Lok!

At the top of the stairs leading to the Juice studio, you’ll find these rides up against the wall.

Directly outside of the Juice studio, a perfect, smile-inducing painting by Jeff Canham.

Don Pendleton & Big Red

Don Pendleton told me that his friend Dave Ackels took some shots of him on the Solitary Arts Big Red.

With a bit of snow cleared from the driveway, there’s reason to roll around on all fours during the winter months…

Skating... Until Your Shoes Fall Apart

Remember those days when your only love was skateboarding and the shoes you wore didn’t matter as much in terms of their cleanliness or looks? When all that mattered was putting them over your socks so that you could get out of the house and pull some tricks before it rained. This kid was sessioning near the office while it was dry and pulling all the tech tricks in his bag with these on. Gotta love it…

Isaac McKay-Randozzi's Half-Frames

Isaac came through the 3131 office in the new year and brought these fine prints of half-frames that he took while interviewing Todd Francis for SLAP, and Geoff McFetridge for Juxtapoz.

Thanks for the 8” x 10”’s, Isaac…

Bland Brand / Bad Brains

Bobby Asato has been running Bland Brand out of Hawaii for some time and he recently sent me a box with a couple of shirts and some stickers. If you’re from Hawaii, you may recognize the old 98 Rock inspired logo on the sticker.

Check his site to learn of his inspirations and video clips from the December 13, 2008 Bad Brains show on Oahu.

Tobin Yelland's SLAP Portfolio

7 pages of photos and an interview in the latest SLAP Portfolio series of photographer Tobin Yelland. I’m liking the new SLAP online magazine layout.
