Marmaspot Interview With GM
El Ten Eleven
A group of friends and I went to check out El Ten Eleven last night along with a few other opening bands that were all good. Needless to say, we were super hyped on El Ten Eleven’s show as they were solid. Check their tour schedule as it’s going on through May 18.
I took a few shots last night and this one might be the clearest.

WTWTA Trailer
A bit late with posting the Where The Wild Things Are trailer with Geoff doing all of the hand-written title sequence. Since folks have asked to put it up on our site, I’ve attached it below. The “Wake Up” track from Arcade Fire is an awesome touch.
Zakir Hussain This Past Saturday
I had the honor of attending the Zakir Hussain concert this past Saturday evening at the Marin Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in San Rafael. The last time I had tickets to see Zakir Hussain was with the Shakti re-union tour in November of 2000. We had a family emergency in route to the concert so we missed that show. 9 Years later and my patience was rewarded as I was seated in the 2nd row, center and was taken on a two hour journey. Highly recommended as he’s still on tour and what looks to be some amazing line-ups.
My 2nd row vantage point offered this shot of Zakir’s tabla’s
He may just be the pinnacle of the golden age of the handmade

Photos From "Me VS. Me": Porous Walker VS. Jimmy DiMarcellis
The, “Me VS Me” opening was awesome. I’m not one to stay long during openings but this one must be seen in person as your time will be well spent. Thanks to Porous Walker, aka Jimmy DiMarcellis for bringing the wonderment and smiles to us this past Saturday evening.
Show runs: April 4-May 8, 2009
